Ek Ehsaas Foundation gifts E-Cart to Rosary Senior Secondary School
As a mark of giving back to her alma mater, alumna Reena Charles, the Founder and Chairperson of the Charitable Trust Ek Ehsaas Foundation (EEF), Delhi has gifted an E-Cart to her school – Rosary Senior Secondary School.
She says “My school has chiseled me to be what I am today. Like a coconut tree that gives back sweet water and fruits to mankind who nurtures it…I too have served my school as a teacher for 20 years before getting into leadership roles in various schools and now my own organisation Ek Ehsaas Foundation (EEF) Delhi.”
Rosary School would be the collaborating partner in two of EEF’s six initiatives, namely Samtripti – Campaign Against Hunger and Poshaak – Glad to Clad, which would be carried out with the E-Cart.
EEF, working in tandem with the school, will reach out to the needy, less fortunate children of God. I have seen them eating burgers, jalebis from the trash bins. Hence, we have identified and taken permission for places such as Malikpur, Gopalpur and Jahangirpuri with the help of the E-Cart to distribute dry provisions, cooked food, clothes and blankets etc.
As SEBI, India’s stocks and securities market regulator, has advised, “When we talk about investment, the focus should not be on profits alone. Instead, it should also be on giving back to our planet and people. Students should be helped to train their eyes to observe the pain around them and, if possible, to alleviate it too. My teachers taught me that.”
Apart from Samtripti and Poshaak, EEF’s other initiatives are Philomena’s Paradise-Home for the Destitutes; Vidhya -Inclusive Education for the Disabled; Marhamm-Counselling for Emotional and Spiritual Wellness and the last Motivational Academy for orientation and motivational programmes.
The E-Cart was blessed by Rev. Father Aniyan Joseph, Parish Priest of Holy Rosary Church and Rev. Fr. Savariraj, Principal of Rosary Senior Secondary School.
Thanks to our donors , EEF also gifted blankets to the school’s auxiliary staff on the happy occasion, in keeping with the season of joyfully giving back from the bounty received from the Almighty.
